About Gixxer 250

Suzuki Gixxer 250 is a commuter bike available in 1 variant in india. Its price starts from ₹1,66,428 (ex-showroom). Suzuki Gixxer 250 generates 26.1 bhp of power and 22.2 nm of torque from its 249cc engine. Single cylinder engine of Gixxer 250 has a 6 speed manual gearbox. With both rear and front disk brakes, Suzuki Gixxer 250 also has an anti-locking braking system. This 156 kg bike is available in 2 colours.

Although late to the party, Suzuki India has finally ventured into the quarter-litre motorcycle segment with the Gixxer SF 250 and now its naked sibling, the Gixxer 250. The Gixxer 250 is a street bike that draws its styling cues from the smaller Gixxer while sporting the same mill as the Gixxer SF 250.

Suzuki has differentiated the Gixxer 250 from its younger brother by giving it a dual-tone colour scheme, bronze-finished engine casing covers and an underbelly cowl. It also gets a differently designed double-barrel megaphone exhaust canister. Besides that, the motorcycle features LED lighting for the head and tail lamps, all-digital instrument console and split-seats.

As mentioned above, the Gixxer 250 draws its power from a 249cc single-cylinder oil-cooled mill that has been lifted from the fully-faired Gixxer SF 250. Featuring light-weight components and frictionless technology, Suzuki has managed to churn out 26.1bhp and 22.6Nm for the motor. Transmission duties are handled by a slick six-speed gearbox. For cycle parts, the street naked comes equipped with telescopic forks up front and a monoshock for the rear. Meanwhile, for braking, the Gixxer 250 employs disc brakes at both ends that are assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard fitment.

The Gixxer 250 is available in two colour schemes – dual-tone Metallic Matte Platinum Silver with Metallic Matte Black and Metallic Matte Black livery. In terms of rivalry, the Gixxer 250 locks horns directly with the KTM 250 Duke and Yamaha FZ25, and considering its price, the Bajaj Dominar 400 as well.
